Personal data and log files are used for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>User authorisation;<\/li>\n<li>Investigating abuse of resources or services;<\/li>\n<li>Statistics and development of the service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Personal information is retrieved from the identity provider service of your home institution through the national identity federation\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/safire.ac.za\/\">SAFIRE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The following information is retrieved every time you log into the service:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Name (given name and surname)<\/li>\n<li>Email address<\/li>\n<li>Unique ID to identify the user<\/li>\n<li>Roles in your organisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Personal information is only collected when you voluntarily submit the information, and all information is kept private.
