All data is subject to acceptance of licensing agreements. Available data can be obtained with the following procedure:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Search through the available\u00a0<strong>resources<\/strong> from the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/repo.sadilar.org\/handle\/20.500.12185\/7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Language Resource Catalogue<\/a>;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Select a resource and review the metadata and license information for the resource;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Complete the necessary documentation (e.g. accepting the license agreement); and<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Download the data by clicking on the resource item icon or the resource link.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Resources available at the RMA can be used for research projects, software development or educational purposes, depending on the licensing agreement that you use.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"\"><span class=\"itemtitleck\" tabindex=\"-1\">Submitting resources<\/span><\/h3>\n<div class=\"accordionck itemcontentck\">\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">SADiLaR also provides the facility for distributing both metadata and resources from third-party data providers. Resources can either be submitted to the Language Resource Index, where only metadata is provided for the resource(s), or to the Language Resource Catalogue, from where the data will be distributed. Both the <a href=\"http:\/\/repo.sadilar.org\/handle\/20.500.12185\/9\">Language Resource Index<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/repo.sadilar.org\/handle\/20.500.12185\/7\">Language Resource Catalogue<\/a> require a minimum amount of metadata in order for the data to be integrated into the RMA\u2019s repository. Currently only persons associated with established research or educational institutions, registered with eduGain (<a href=\"https:\/\/safire.ac.za\/participants\/idp\/list\/\">South Africa<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/technical.edugain.org\/isFederatedCheck\/Organisations\/\">International<\/a>), are allowed to submit resources directly to the repository. If you want to deposit a resource, but are not associated with one of these institutions, please <a href=\"https:\/\/sadilar.org\/contact-us\/\">contact us<\/a> to organise temporary access to the submission procedure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Prior to distribution, all resources will firstly be evaluated to ensure the following conditions are met:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">The resource is scientifically relevant to one of the communities served by SADiLaR;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Metadata is of sufficient quality to make the resource discoverable;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Proof of resource quality or evaluation procedure to ensure high quality resource; and<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">License information is available, and in line with SADiLaR policies;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Acceptance of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sadilar.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/InfoCTSLanguageRecourcesDistributionAgreement10JB.pdf\">Resource Distribution Agreement.<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">If resources are rejected for inclusion in the Language Resource Catalogue, the item will still be listed in the Language Resource Index, with all relevant metadata.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: trebuchet ms, geneva, sans-serif;\"><b>Steps to submit resources:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Navigate to the <a href=\"http:\/\/repo.sadilar.org\/handle\/20.500.12185\/7\">SADiLaR repository<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Click on the <a href=\"https:\/\/repo.sadilar.org\/login\">Login<\/a> link in the top right hand corner.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Log in using your academic credentials via your home institution. If your institution is not listed in the discovery service, please contact SADiLaR for alternative login options (<a href=\"mailto:support@sadilar.org\">support@sadilar.org<\/a>)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Click on the &#8220;<strong>Submissions<\/strong>&#8221; item in the left hand panel.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Select &#8220;<strong>Start a new submission<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Select the \u201c<strong>Language Resource Management Agency &gt; Resource Index<\/strong>\u201d Collection.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Complete the metadata information as requested on the &#8220;<strong>Describe Item<\/strong>&#8221; page. A full description of all of the metadata fields is available <a href=\"\/metadata-procedures\/\">here<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">index.php\/guidelines-standards\/metadata-guidelinesClick on the &#8220;<strong>Next<\/strong>&#8221; button.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">In the &#8220;<strong>Upload a File<\/strong>&#8221; page, select a file to upload to the repository if you want to submit the item to the Resource Catalogue for distribution. Please note that this should preferably be in one of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.clarin.eu\/recommendations\">CLARIN<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.mpi.nl\/accepted-file-formats\">MPIPL<\/a> recommended data types<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a>. If data is in another format, the format should be documented explicitly and exhaustively as part of the submission.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Click on the &#8220;Next&#8221; button.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Verify that all the information is correct and correct any fields as required.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Accept the distribution license.
